W Hotel

Lobby waiting area

We took the airport train from Chek Lap Kok and in 30 minutes, arrived at the Kowloon stop located at the basement of the Elements Mall.  We haven't stayed in the Kowloon side for ages, and it was our first time to visit this high-end mall.  W Hotel, run by the Starwood group, conveniently sits atop the mall, and is positioned as the 5-star hotel preferred by the hip generation.  Rooms were pretty spacious, I would say around 32 m2 in total area, and our courtyard view wasn't bad at all.

The interesting thing about the room layout was that two giant sliding doors would form the bathroom enclosure, and when the doors would be left open, the illusion of additional space was created.  A room night comes to around HKD 3,400 per night, a bit on the high side but well worth it.  Near the Tsim Sha Tsui area (a short 5 minute taxi ride away), friendly staff, immediately accessible to a beautiful mall and most of all, it has a very convenient location if you are rushing to and from the airport.
