Pavia's Mushroom Chicharon

Fry

My absolute number 1 childhood memory of chocolates.  Fry's chocolates in the sixties was a division of Cadbury's (although at some point in the early twentieth century, they were competitors).  I don't even see the brand today, as current owner Mondelez has discontinued its production.  Such a sad thing for the oldest brand of chocolate bars.  I remember rotating my daily choice of dessert--hazels, almonds and the biggest brazils I could lay my eyes on!

Mushroom Tea

It's actually more like mushroom broth, but Monique calls it tea.  She picked it up in Yokohama, but can't remember exactly where.  Exquisite taste, smooth and easy on the senses.  Calming, soothing, a sip made me smile.  Surely a treat with nori flakes on the side, or taken with soba or udon noodles as a dunking staple.  Can't wait for her to order another tin.
