Brera

Caffe Puccini

I took Monique and Matt to an after-dinner pit stop at Caffe Puccini, located at the older section of BCG.  This was one of the popular coffee shops during the days when the development was known as the Fort.  The last time Monique and I were there was when she was in grade school, and it's comforting to enter a restaurant that brings about good memories.

Pizza is still the wondrous treat that we remember.  Despite my concerns about sugar count, I couldn't resist having some ice cream.  A full meal could come to around P1,500 per person, but if you just have a quick bit, a P500 budget would be enough.  Next time around, we agreed to try a couple of pasta dishes; we'd have to make tummy space for that!

Pastarrifico

Vicky just loves the Caesar's salad of Pastarrifico, a newly opened Italian snack bar at the Ayala North Exchange.  For under P400 per head, prices are reasonable, and the quality of the pasta is not bad at all.  In addition to the salad, we had lasagna and a cream-based dish; it was just too bad that Monique arrived after we were almost done so she wasn't able to taste the good food that we enjoyed!
