Anita and the kids were pretty much settled at the Manila Peninsula so we hied off for a fast lunch at the Ayala Triangle. The kids were rarin' to swim so the long lines building up at Banapple and Amici weren't attractive. We walked in Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters, and the staff was ready to accept our orders as we entered.
You wind up spending something like P150 to P200 per head, on various roasted orders of beef (yes, it's angus beef), pork and chicken. Individually, the meals taste okay, but in essence are still pre-cooked and reheated, fast food style, so you can't expect the meats to be super tender and juicy. The sisig came off the grill and was not bad, but the kids have a built-in preference for the Trellis style, so this wasn't much of a thrill for them.
The difficult part about eating roasted items mid-day is that the plates are hot and the surrounding noon temperature doubles up the perspiration factor. The restaurant doors opened several times due to the influx of diners, and the resulting room temperature started to soar. It was a good thing that the kids ate fast and wanted to stroll around the park. The kids and I started to take some outdoor pictures to cool off in the windy shade while Anita and Anton finished their meals. We were back at the Manila Pen in an hour's time.
