Poco's Deli

After our "stay-cation" lunch, Monique and I craved for some good gelato for our postre. We came across the signboard of Poco Deli next door, and immediately, both of us were deeply intrigued by the medley of unique flavors.  We ordered Bourbon Walnut, Stout Chocolate and Gorgonzola, and each tasted exactly as it was labelled--walnut and bourbon whiskey, chocolate with beer and smelly cheese!  What a delight for our taste buds, although admittedly, Monique wasn't too sold on salty kick of the gorgonzola version.  The ice cream comes in small cups (on cup is roughly the equivalent of one scoop), but at P150 each, theirs is a tad more expensive than that of other artisan gelato makers.  Vicky had pointed out the location of their original Kapitolyo store a couple of weeks ago, but due to the strong rain, we weren't able to check it out, and this stroll along the Ayala Triangle gardens lent a bit of serendipity to this visit.
