I think that Betty's of Pampanga has been around for around fifty years or so. I don't know if they have specialized in sans rival since the beginning, but I remember that in the late eighties, Vicky's friends would gift her with this mouth watering semi-frozen creation. Butter and cashew nuts spread over and layered in between sweetened wafers--oh such a wonderful way to gain weight! We found ourselves dropping by their outlet along Biak-Na-Bato St. in Quezon City (right behind the Sto. Domingo Church), and Vicky took out a large cake (9" x 13" if I remember correctly) that cost just about P1,000. When we got to Ermita--like clockwork the kids went to work, and it was gone in 60 seconds!
