Tierra Alta

We went around Dumaguete to inspect some family properties, and by lunchtime, we were ready to take on a feast.  Eddie brought us high above the hills of Valencia, to see the Tierra Alta community.  This real estate project is pretty well conceptualized as a Greek-inspired residential resort.  With its beautiful view of the Negros Oriental countryside and its iconic lighthouse, it was no wonder why the place would often play host to wedding receptions and other social and business events.

The Tierra Cafe serves a lot of good (and reasonably priced) food!  I went around to take pictures of the everyone's orders; the variety was a good surprise from the seemingly nondescript clubhouse restaurant.  Caesar's salad, pork belly in orange sauce, Salisbury steak, shrimp and mushrooms, pesto pasta, rib eye steak, chicken cordon bleu, seared tuna, hamburger sandwich and grilled chicken--the kids enjoyed the whole time.  From the menu, I could see that per head spend would reach something like P500 to P700, depending on the orders.

It was a very hot summer day, and we took a dip at the Aquatica pool for comfort.  I was worried that Kong would tire out fast, but he enjoyed the cool breeze and the lazy atmosphere.  For afternoon merienda, pizza was the "in" thing!  I just loved the gooey cheesy ooze that topped the crunchy crust.
