Notwithstanding the dinner at Misato, I still had the craving for some chicheria. It so happened that right across from the Collezione shoppe at MetroWalk, was a stand of R. Lapid's chicharon! We have been a patron since way back--the nice thing about Lapid's is that the chicharon is always fresh, sometimes popped right in front of you (I've been disappointed on occasion with commercial chicharon, the complaint being unseen crunchiness). Deciding to count cholesterol, however, I just purchased the cocktail chicharon (all skin, no fat) which retails for P130 for a pack of 200 grams.
