We decided to have a sit-down brekky at Don Atilano's, the restaurant of the La Residencia Almar, which is located right along the shoreline boulevard of Dumaguete. While waiting for our meal, we took a look at the rooms, and found that the end suites were pretty spacious, and had a balcony view of the sea! Not bad for just about P2,600 per night.
Breakfast was pretty straightforward; I ordered chorizo and eggs. The restaurant was cozy and doubles up as a bar at night. My only concern about the location of this hotel is that since there are lot of bars in the boulevard area, the sound levels of the neighbors could take away from sound sleep.
