Misato

We haven't been to the MetroWalk area in some time, so when Monique finished malling with her friends at the SM Megamall, I decided to bring her and Vicky to check out the stores there (we were lucky that Collezione had some cut-price stocks and they were able to get a couple of sport shirts).  It was a weeknight and by 8pm we were hungry.  We chose to have dinner at Misato; the restaurant has a main air-conditioned area and an outside   extension portion ideal for light drinks and for listening to the live bank playing at the plaza.

The crunchy maki was the recommended specialty; it was lightly toasted on the sides, and the rice crackled a bit as we ate.  The serving size was limited though, so we took another order of rainbow shushi, which was also interesting--wrapped with squid, kani, tuna and salmon.  The pork noodle soup and the gyoza were not bad, although I found the chicken curry on the sweet side, which isn't exactly my cup of tea.

We spent something like P500 per head, but it wasn't really a pig-out session.  The restaurant has been around for probably some 7-8 years, and I'd say it needs some interior upgrade.
