After that ramen snack at the Shangri-la Mall, we had wanted to try the Maples restaurant for dinner (credit card companies had some meal freebies), but the place was so full. We decided to skip dinner altogether and have some cake at Secret Recipe. This Malaysian franchise has been around locally for probably a decade or so. We got a whole almond cake! We figured that on a per slice basis, it would come out cheaper, and if we had any slices left, it would be easy to take back home. The cake was around P800 and inclusive of some empanada and our drinks, our dessert bill came to around P200 per head, still with half a cake for take home, which was not bad at all!
