Wicked Kitchen

Vicky, Monique and I were around the ABS-CBN area, and while looking for a place to have dinner, we came across Wicked Kitchen along Mother Ignacia St. and the place had a parking space!  Since the area is notorious for tight parking, I instinctively drove in, and we took a chance with the restaurant.  Not bad at all; we spent around P350 per head.  The place is a bistro--lighter, fast meals, no full-blown gastronomic wonders, but simple tasty food.

The shrimp bisque was surprising at P105 only, very tasty and nicely done.  I'd even go as far as to say that this this bisque would be the bisque of some fancy 5-star hotels!  The beef pie wasn't too great, nice puff pastry but I think the meat filling could have been better.  We also had chicken kebabs and beef lasagna, and both were not bad.  The space on the ground floor is quite limited (its really just the open kitchen and the counter), so we went up to the 2nd floor.  It was not too well lit and I guess the "dark" feeling has something to do with the black and red color scheme, not to mention the play on the "wicked" concept.  Hehe, I know of a few people that love saying the word "wicked" with a sly, but meaningful little grin!
