The Plantation

I picked Vicky up sometime just before 8pm, and as we were both hungry, we decided to grab a bite before going home.  We chanced upon The Plantation, a bistro-bar along Palanca St. in Legaspi Village.  The place was full, and we were lucky to get the last available table.  It turns out to be a favorite after-work hangout for the yuppy crowd--lots of mixed drinks, good food, reasonable prices.  Vicky spotted some of her younger co-workers, and she walked over, made time for some tete-a-tete.

Vicky got an order of roasted garlic & shrimp spaghetti, while I had chicken parmiggiana.  We shared a plate of nicely cooked spicy spareribs.  This would have been perfect with a cold bottle of dark beer, but since I was tired and still had to drive home, I didn't dare take a sip.  Talk about self control!

The best part about it?  We spent P600 for the three dishes, which is pretty cool.  Of course, if you had the drinks coming round after round, then the per head spend would be totally different. The bar is well-stacked, so you can take time to have long chit-chat with your friends over drink after drink after drink.... hiccups...
