Our visit to the Eastwood Mall was spiced up by spending time at the Murano booth. Murano glass is made in the Venetian islands of Murano, and this involves age-old production methods, and a lot of artisan labor too. Such beautiful glass creations; lots of colors, plenty of shapes, and intricate curves. These glass pieces come in several variants--display art/sculpture, bracelets, rings, earrings, paperweights, necklaces, for example. Vicky and Monique had a field day pouring over the stuff, and I was secretly worried that they would pick up and possibly break some of the table sculpture (these were priced at P15,000 upwards each).
