Kristina's Inutak

I did not know what Inutak was until I came across the stall of Kristina's Inutak in SM Marikina.  It's actually like kakanin, made from ground malagkit (sticky) rice mixed with  gata (coconut cream) and oven baked as a pie.  The resulting dish is creamy and custard-like in consistency, but not as firm as maja blanca nor as sticky as ube halaya.  At first glance, I kinda thought it was a cross between the two, it looked as if the dish were layered ube halaya and maja blanca, but when you taste it, these are actually 3 different desserts.  It's not exactly inexpensive, a regular pie would be something like P450 to P500 depending on the flavor.
