8 Cuts

Eddie and Korina were eager to take Kong Kong and Gwammy out for dinner, so Monique and I gladly obliged the trip.  After much discussion, we landed in the UP Town Center, and our target was 8 Cuts Burger Blends, a sister company of the Burger Bar in Greenbelt Mall.  This place is not for those who are on a diet; this place is for those who just love biting into juicy, tasty, culinary burgers.  I say "culinary," because the menu has some instructional tips--comparing and contrasting the different beef cuts.  Looking for tender? Or gamey?  Or marbled?  You have come to the right place.

As expected, the kids started off with nacho dips and fries.  Two things that make this different--nachos come with artichoke cheese dip, and the fries are made from camote, not potatoes!  Yes, you heard me right, sweet potatoes.  When coated with cheese powder, the fries are somewhere in between sweet and salty, making it a different experience (the only other restaurant I know that serves camote regularly is Max's).

Gwammy wanted some greens and enjoyed a Caesar's Salad, which had generous portioning.  We all had burgers--the girls had cheeseburgers, while Kong, Eddie and I took some interesting combinations.  I had my burger with melted Swiss cheese, caramelized onions and potato chips on top.  All in all, our bill came to around P400 per head, and the burger-y delight of the night was clearly shown on all our faces!
