I went to SM Megamall to fetch Monique from one of her outings with her barkada. While waiting for her to finish, I came across the Mr. Binatog stall at the top floor. Binatog is one local street food that used to be popular way back then, but nowadays, you don't come across this very often. I understand that corn kernels are soaked for a couple of days until these puff up, and then boiled, resulting in a congee-like consistency. Since I haven't had binatog in ages I decided to get a cup--sizes vary and cost about below P50. It was filling alright. To add variety, the franchise came up with new toppings (butter, cheese and chocolate) other than the traditional grated coconut.
