Kokoro Ramenya

We celebrated the birthdays of Vicky & Monique with Lola Dee at the Kokoro Ramenya along Roxas Boulevard (near the US Embassy).  This was an ideal location, as the building had an elevator to the second floor, and Lola Dee didn't have any access problems at all.   It was good that we made a reservation; the place easily gets full and it would have been a sweaty wait in the hot summer night.  We started off with gyoza, some tuna sashimi, chicken karaage and sushi.

In a few minutes, the tempura arrived, and whoa...the kids finished this off with relative ease!  I couldn't miss my favorite rebanira (sliced liver and kuchay), so we got an order of that, plus some chicken teriyaki.

In this dinner, the ramen came in as the piece de resistance, each of us tried different flavors and combinations, including beef, seafood, tempura and pork.  Broth was indeed savory and the noodles were right to the bite.

We were lucky to participate in their 50% promo on ramen dishes!  That brought our average per head spending to something like P500.  Interiors were very modern and comfortable, but our main gripe was that the air-conditioning system seemed to be inadequate to handle the summer heat.
