Red Kimono

Little Dannie celebrated her birthday at the Red Kimono restaurant at the Ayala Technohub in the UP area.  Anita and Tony pulled out all the stops and we had a fantastic feast!  For starters, we had tuna and salmon sashimi, some gyoza and sushi topped with crunchy dilis:

The main courses came in fast succession--ginger garlic steak, ebi tempura, tenderloin cubes teppanyaki, grilled tofu, grilled gindara (black cod), crsipy wasabi pork and chicken teriyaki.  We got some fried banana katsu with ice cream for dessert.  The dining concept is modern Japanese, and the food preparation is pretty thorough (sashimi was very fresh).  Service was quite satisfactory, with the average food check going at around P800 per head.  If you're on a budget, they have fully loaded bento boxes going at around P400 to P500.

I like the interiors of the restaurant--clean, well lit and nicely decorated.  The Ayala Technohub has plenty of parking space, and also has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, so it's no wonder that the place is full for Sunday lunch.  Great lunch--Happy Birthday Dannie!
