One of Vicky's clients gave her a box of Rosalie's suman (rolled sticky rice). This green suman version comes from Marilao, Bulacan, and has crunchy pinipig (crisped rice) bits embedded in it, together with some sweetened buko. From the way I gauge it, the buko bits are more like latik curds (coconut milk is boiled until the oil separates from the solids). The product comes in fresh banana leaves, and has a delicious scent that makes my mouth water! I have no idea of the pricing, but I figure that it is quite inexpensive.Tuesday, October 22, 2013
