Masil

Dining in BBQ places used to mean that you'd get the scent of smoke sticking to your clothes.  Somehow, Korean BBQ restaurants have managed to incorporate excellent exhaust systems in the interior design, and you can have grilled food without the accompanying smoky odor.  Such was the case when we dined in Masil, which is right along Oranbo Drive, perpendicular to Shaw Boulevard in Pasig.  The place has a large parking area, and is quite popular with the overseas Korean community in Manila.

You have to pace yourself when eating Korean--the appetizers come in one after the other, and if you get carried away, you end up with little tummy space for the delicious main courses.  Bibimbop, Chap Chae and beef stew are always meal staples, and this time we added some spicy squid and beef BBQ to liven up our meal.  My trucker friends really know how to order the delicious meal choices!

Prepare around P800 per head if you want to enjoy a wide variety of dishes.  However, with that amount, your stomach will be fully rewarded, and I'm quite sure you will be find it hard to rise from your chair from all that food.
