I was having my car fixed along Tomas Morato, and in order to kill time, I had a fast lunch at the Little Kitchen Noodle Place, which was right next door. Unfortunately I started off on the wrong foot--the hakaw looked delicious but was quite tasteless. In fairness, the dumpling was advertised as having 90% shrimp, which it did have--a whole shrimp was stuffed inside. I think the chef must have altogether forgotten to add salt and spices. The beef tendon and rice meal combination wasn't bad though, the meat was tender and the meal came with a glass of iced tea. The menu did show a lot of Cantonese and Taiwanese dishes, and the pricing seemed quite reasonable (I spent around P250 for my orders and it seems that with P500 per person, you can have quite a feast), so I'll forgive them on the hakaw blunder and try the rest of the dishes some other time.
