Dulcelin Gourmet

My birthday celebration at the Dulcelin Gourmet restaurant (2nd floor of the UP Town Center) was booked as a result of Mira and Dani's love for lengua estofado.  When Korina and Monique reported that the place served lengua, I immediately thought about the two little kids and asked Monique to book reservations.  Good choice, apperently--

We started off with some liver pate, which was enough to last 4 rounds of baguettes.  It was quite flavorful, and a just thin spread made the appetizer a treat in itself.  Everyone had a little bit of this and that--top blade steak, halibut, a surf & turf combination, roast beef, paella (to share), callos, and of course--family sized servings of lengua estofado!

I didn't know that the specialty of the house was mango torte, and chocolate ganache, and only upon the urging of our food attendant did I agree to having both for dessert.  This was an instant hit, and both were gone in 60 seconds...

The interiors of the place are kept simple, but the ambiance is warm and inviting.  Food attendants keep you well informed of the menu choices, and very happy to help out.  All in all, we spent something like P650 per head.  One good dining experience, and the smiles on the faces of my guests made me very happy indeed!
