Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

We first heard about Hokkaido Ramen Santouka from Vicky's friends, and she has been excited about visiting the place.  So when Monique and I picked up Eddie and Korina at the Greenhills Center the other night, we made it a point to invite them for dinner at this ramen place which was located at the 2nd floor of the Promenade Mall.  Vicky was supposed to follow, but for some unfortunate reason, she got stuck at the office and couldn't catch up.

The meal was quite good.  Eddie and Korina had a bowl of shoyu (soy sauce) ramen each, while Monique and I had the combo packs--spicy miso ramen and pork curry for Monique, shio (salt) ramen and salmon roe topped rice for me.  The broth was flavorful, and the pickled vegetables made the meal quite a treat.  The flavored egg was boiled just right, and the resulting texture is somewhere in between "runny soft-boiled" and "already hard-boiled."  The salad had a nice sesame dressing, and the meal came with hot tea.

Since Vicky would have to eat all by her lonesome, we decided to get some take-out for her--shoyu ramen and gyoza which was much appreciated.  The staff had actually forgotten to include the gyoza inside the paper bag, and while Vicky was initially disappointed, Korina graciously offered to go back to the store to pick up the misplaced order (the staff were quite apologetic).  All in all, we spent something like P600 per head.
