My lunch meeting at the SM Megamall was an in-and-out quickie. We were told that the Ukokkei ramen place had reasonable bowls at P230 apiece, and that the noodles would come in 5-7 minutes. My friend was absolutely correct; bowls were reasonably priced and came to our table on time, boiling hot!
I had a slightly spicy pork broth while my friend had a miso-based broth. I found the soup to be very tasty, like it had been slow-cooked over a long period of time. Somehow the impression I had was that the pricing of Ukokkei would be higher since the store had gained quite a following. I was very happy to have been wrong on that count--at P230 per bowl, this is pretty much a good buy.
