Hukad

Had a quick meeting with fellow real estate brokers at Hukad, a Cebuano restaurant at the Trinoma Complex.  The restaurant is part of the Golden Cowrie group, which has a rich history as a prime mover of the Cebuano dining scene.  We started off with some baked scallops and shrimp sinigang soup which had a real asim kick.

The pork liempo didn't make too much of an impression on me, but the ngohiong (shown below) was something different.  Unlike the Chinese 5 spice meat roll, their version is vegetarian treat.  We didn't order the belly lechon, that one looks like something I'd get for a special occasion.  Expect to spend something like P400 per person for a meal.  The place is a crowd favorite, so you could have waiting queues especially on weekends.
