The King of the Munchies is none other than the Lechon. One whole pig, slowly roasted for 6 hours in an open pit of glowing charcoal. Crunchy skin. Tender meat. Flavorful. Awesome. My newest craving stems from the wonderful aroma of Gatchalian Lechon, located at the Guadalupe area along the south-bound side of EDSA. The lechon is cooked in the Ilonggo style, with plenty of lemongrass tucked inside the tummy for a unique aroma. A mid-sized lechon goes for around P8,000 which I can assure you it is well worth its weight in gold!
