We had a trucker's meeting at the Ramen Daisho restaurant along Shaw Boulevard, right beside the Puregold outlet. Ramen bowls go for under P300 for the small sizes, and just under P600 for the big ones (I was quite full with the small bowl shown below, so you can just imagine how hungry you'd have to be to take on the big bowl). We started off with some hotdogs and gyoza (tasty, but small), and moved on to some chicken karaage and ebi (not tempura but furai).
Soup-wise, the flavor has got to be in the top 10 list of ramen broths. Rich, creamy (yes, from boiling all the fats) and salted just right. They have different kinds of noodles--thick, thin, curly but I just asked the lady for the recommended one (I think it was thin), which was chewy and firm to the bite. So many ramen shops, so little time!
