Hostess Twinkies
Becca bought a box of Hostess Twinkies and we felt a sudden throwback to years past. While this was a very simple pastry that was widely sold in the United States (I used to read comic books, and their ads were everywhere), it was the imported (read expensive) sponge cake roll when we were kids. The local bakeries had cheap rolled tai-san cakes, but the creme filling of Hostess Twinkies placed it a cut above the rest. Or so I thought then, hahaha...
