Ogetsu Hime

Someone told my friend that the Matsusaka beef was being offered at a 50% discount over at the Ogetsu Hime restaurant in SM Aura.  We made it a point to visit the place with some colleagues of mine, and I was surprised to find out from the staff that the restaurant was also a member of the Triple V group.  We started off with some hamachi sashimi, which was firm and pretty fresh.

Scallops, oysters and ebi tempura were, of course, part of the teppanyaki wish list that was granted that evening, but it was the Matsusaka beef that had our mouths watering for more.  Well, you can't really have much of this specialty meat, as it is almost unhealthy, with all the fat streaks clouding the meat.  But I assure you, it was buttery, tasty and absolutely heaven...

Even with the discount, however, you still get to fork over an arm and a leg; with a bottle of sake for the group, we spent something around P2,200 per head.  The place gets pretty crowded by around 7pm, so make sure you call ahead for reservations.
