Monique and I were at the UP Technohub to have a quick lunch at the the first interesting place we saw. Turns out that Mister Kabab has a branch there, and we had to try it out. My last visit to the establishment was at their West Avenue branch many years ago (with Anita and Tony), and I didn't have a clue if the food was still the same. We chose a mixed meat plate (chelo kebab and plain beef) and lamb stew, both with biryani rice (which was quite spicy).
Our meal was still reasonable at around P250 per head. I must say that the establishment was improved much--clean, nice decor and air-conditioned, a far cry from the dim, smoke-filled atmosphere of its early incarnations in the nineties. The place used to be the sober-up favorite of the night owls then. In fact, if I remember correctly, when Anita, Tony and I visited the place, there was a commotion because some drunk lady was in the middle of a shouting match with her man's latest fling... Those were the days!
