Engelbert Humperdinck is now 80 years old, still strong and still giving concerts all over the world. For the Asian leg of his 2016 world tour, he will be in Manila for a performance at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 10, 2016. His recordings were a staple in the house; Gwammy loved every record and cassette tape he made. In 1974, Gwammy was fortunate enough to watch him live in Las Vegas; Tita Lucy was able to obtain seats to a front row table. She recalls that experience with a lot of joy, and her eyes light up every time we talk about it. His smooth voice will forever be associated with that prayer of deliverance, Release Me. I enjoy his music and I hope that the next generation of fans will also feel rapport with the emotional warmth of his songs.
