Corniche

My meeting at the Corniche restaurant of the Manila Diamond Hotel was over in thirty minutes, and we spent the rest of the lunch enjoying the sumptuous buffet spread.  The restaurant is where the Palm Court used to be located; the recent interior upgrades definitely made a big impact on the hotel's target market.  It was Tuesday lunch and the place was 70% full.

No wonder the place get filled up--the food is quite good.  They have a Japanese station, and the appetizer section is filled with a lot of greens and cold cuts.  I must admit the duck roast was good--roast items at buffets are usually tough and dry due to overexposure to the heating lamps.  The dessert spread had very sweet fruits, and a good combination of ice cream flavors. Overall a pleasurable experience at a hotel I haven't eaten in for almost a decade.  Around P1,600 per person.
