The radio just played Michael Jackson's Thriller and I heard Vincent Price's distinctive voice over at end of the song. I used to enjoy watching his Grade-B horror movies, and the movie The Raven immediately came to mind. Magician versus magician! It was the precursor of the Harry Potter series that kids love these days. The movie has a simple plot, the effects were pretty much simple camera tricks, but the impression on me was absolutely fantastic. Vincent Price and Boris Karloff were believable as powerful sorcerers and Peter Lorre's marble-shaped eyes always brought out the comic relief. Enjoyable kiddie fun for me!
