I just read that Dame Diana Rigg passed away. It is a sad moment for a lot of us, and my thoughts go back to the end scene of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, where her character, Contessa Teresa Bond falls in a blitz of machine gun fire. I cried watching that scene. Betamax format; rewound the cassette a few times to make sure I saw what I saw...
She was a lovely lady who was initially recognized on the Avengers TV show, and later on she was introduced to my daughter's generation as Lady Tyrell on Game of Thrones.
She's just resting officer... We have all the time in the world...
